After graduating from the Faculty of Sociology at Hosei University in 2016, Goto joined MUFG Bank, Ltd. He was engaged in corporate banking, providing a wide range of financial and management support to clients ranging from small and mid-sized enterprises to large corporations, with a particular focus on lending and financing solutions.
In 2022, he was seconded to Mitsubishi UFJ Capital Co., Ltd., the venture capital subsidiary of the MUFG Group, where he served as a venture capitalist. In this role, he was responsible for identifying promising startups, executing investments, and supporting portfolio companies’ value creation. He gained experience investing in multiple companies, including domestic and international IT and deep tech ventures.
He returned to MUFG Bank in 2025 and subsequently focused on supporting high-growth startup companies as a corporate relationship manager specializing in startups. He has been engaged in providing comprehensive financial solutions to corporate clients, covering both debt and equity financing. Through his experience supporting a diverse range of companies in his previous roles, he developed a strong conviction that people are the critical factor in both raising capital and ensuring that such capital is effectively utilized. Based on this belief, and with a desire to contribute to corporate growth through support for the development of strong organizations, he joined Genius in 2026. He completed an MBA at the Globis University of Management in 2023.
